About This Course

The course contains information about the features of orthotopic liver transplantation, donor selection, immunological compatibility of the donor-recipient pair, indications for liver transplantation, the main stages of transplantation, possible complications in the early and late postoperative period, selection and control of immunosuppressive therapy.

Requirements

Students must have knowledge and skills in the examination of a surgical patient, be able to apply and interpret modern methods of assessing the anatomical and functional condition of the liver, know the main indications and contraindications to liver transplantation, know the stages of surgery and possible complications.
