In 2018, the teachers of the Department of General Hygiene and Ecology of ZSMU, in accordance with the requirements of the use of distance learning technologies, developed an on-line course of independent work "Hygiene and Ecology" for 3 year students. The course consists of the following content modules: "Environmental hygiene and hygiene of children and adolescents", "Hygiene of medical and prophylactic institutions", "Radiation hygiene", "Tropical hygiene". After each subject, the student must answer questions online in online mode and solve situational tasks on specific topics, the answers to which are written in a notebook and checked during practical classes. As a result of mastering the discipline the student must know: • Healthy lifestyle and personal hygiene. Physical training and basics of tempering. Prevention of the alcohol, smoke drug and toxic substances abuse. • Principles of methodology, technique and basic assessment scheme of the environmental factors impact on population health. • Methods of research and assessment of the environment factors influence on the children and adolescents health, definition of the health group and physical development. • Method of hygienic control on the physical and labour training organization for children and adolescents. Medical and occupational consultation and medical occupational selection of adolescents in schools and out-patient departments. • Peculiarities of planning and equipment of specialized departments and hospitals. • Labor hygiene of medical workers in medical-prophylactic institutions. • Prevention AIDS. • Radioactive pollution of the environment. • Hygienic aspects of the Chornobyl accident. • Organization of sanitary and hygienic measures during emergency situations. Hygiene of the field location of the rescue teams and their hygiene of labour during the disaster consequences liquidation.
Goal: The goal of teaching the course "Hygiene and Environment" is to acquainte with the with environmental factors, their impact on the health of the population and preventive measures, as well as on the basic issues of hygiene of children and adolescents, hygiene of treatment and prevention institutions, radiation hygiene, which will help the future specialists to form basic knowledge of hygiene, necessary for their professional activity. To study this on-line course, students will need theoretical knowledge and practical skills in hygiene and ecology, as well as a computer with access to the Internet.
